What material is used to make Texspan slings?
Pritchard Tyrite TEXSPAN slings are manufactured from Polyester (PES) fibre. Polyester produces the best slings as it has very low elongation when loaded and also has good resistance to many acids. In a normal working environment polyester slings may be used in a wider range of temperatures, between -40°C and 100°C. (Care should be taken if used in freezing conditions as ice crystals may form in the sling fibre causing damge). Polyester Webbing slings have good resistance to UV radiation.
